Mladost 18–10 Jadran: A Trophy and a Message Before Europe
Mladost claimed the first Croatian Super Cup in club history with an emphatic performance against Jadran Split. But the 18–10 result carries even more weight because the same two teams will meet again within days in the Champions League.
The first trophy of the season belongs to Zagreb.
HAVK Mladost defeated Jadran Split 18–10 in Bjelovar to claim the Croatian Super Cup for the first time in club history.
The final score is striking.
The way Mladost produced it is even more significant.
From 4–0 to complete control
Mladost established their intentions immediately.
They opened a 4–0 advantage before finishing the first quarter 4–1 ahead.
Jadran managed to stabilise the game during the second period, but Mladost still carried a 7–4 lead into halftime.
Then came the decisive eight minutes.
7–3 in the third quarter.
At 14–7, the final period became a question of control rather than comeback.

Radulović: four goals and MVP
Marko Radulović delivered one of the defining individual performances of the final.
He finished with four goals from five attempts, an 80% shooting rate, and was named MVP of the Croatian Super Cup.
But another Mladost player produced an almost perfect attacking performance.
Viktor Tončinić went 4/4.
Four attempts.
Four goals.
100% shooting.
Luka Bukić added three goals, while Luke Pavillard and Ivan Nagaev scored twice each.
Pejković scores half of Jadran’s total
There was also an individual performance worth noting on the other side.
Duje Pejković scored five times for Jadran.
Half of his team’s goals in the final.
It puts his name firmly on the YARE Radar as the season moves into European competition.

And now, they do it all again
This is where the story becomes particularly interesting.
Mladost and Jadran will not have to wait long for the rematch.
On 7 October, they meet again.
This time in the Champions League.
That means 18–10 is no longer simply the score from a domestic final.
It becomes the first reference point for a completely different contest.
Jadran have only days to find answers.
Mladost have only days before being asked whether what happened in Bjelovar can be reproduced on the European stage.
Same teams. Different competition. And now there is an 18–10 between them.
Chapter one is complete
For Mladost, the night ended with a trophy.
For Jadran, it ended with questions.
But this story did not finish in Bjelovar.
It may only have started.

On 7 October, they go again.
This time in Europe.
