How we tell the story matters.

YARE is built on the belief that visibility comes with responsibility.

Our coverage is guided by accuracy, independence, respect and fairness. We aim to inform, document and tell meaningful water polo stories without unnecessary exaggeration or pressure on the people behind them.

ACCURACY

We aim to publish information that is accurate, verified and presented in the correct context.

Results, statistics, records and factual claims are checked against reliable sources whenever possible. When an error is identified, we believe in correcting it clearly and promptly.

INDEPENDENCE

YARE maintains editorial independence in what we cover and how we cover it.

Collaborations with clubs, athletes, organisations, contributors or partners do not determine our editorial conclusions or guarantee coverage.

Editorial content and commercial partnerships remain distinct.

YOUTH RESPONSIBILITY

Youth water polo is central to YARE, and covering young athletes requires particular care.

Our goal is to recognise development and achievement without creating unnecessary pressure, premature labels or unrealistic expectations.

Young athletes are people first, not statistics, rankings or content.

RESPECT

We cover players, coaches, referees, clubs, families and everyone involved in the game with respect.

Competition can be intense. Coverage does not need to be.

We focus on performance, facts and relevant sporting issues rather than personal attacks or unnecessary speculation.

DATA WITH CONTEXT

Statistics can reveal important parts of performance, but numbers never tell the entire story.

YARE uses data, rankings and analytical metrics with context. Where we create our own analytical models or metrics, they should be clearly identified as YARE analysis rather than official competition statistics.

SOURCES & ATTRIBUTION

When information, photography, statistics or original material comes from another source, we aim to identify and credit that source appropriately.

Original reporting, official competition data and YARE analysis should remain clearly distinguishable.

CORRECTIONS

Accuracy matters more than pretending to be infallible.

If something is wrong, we correct it.

If new verified information materially changes a story, we update it.
